What you Need to Know About our Tours

Here at Untravelled Paths, we pride ourselves and our tours on giving you the opportunity to experience something new, something unique and, potentially, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Our tours allow you to see countries that you may not have thought about visiting before, giving you the best authentic travel experience combined with a well-guided and curated visit. We know that being on a tour bus with 30 other people, taking four-hour drives to see tourist attractions isn’t many people’s idea of a holiday well spent, which is why we limit group numbers to allow more intimate experiences with like-minded people from across the world. Whether you’re already booked onto one of our experiences, or just doing some research, here’s everything you need to know about our tours:

Something Different – Somewhere Different

First and foremost, this is what you need to know about our experiences. We look to offer unusual and memorable experiences in less travelled locations, and this is the lifeblood of our company. Granted, we may make one or two stops to popular places in the countries we visit (Dracula’s Castle, for example), but the majority of the tour and time you spend with us will be dedicated to showcasing the untravelled parts of the country.

Our guides are chosen based on a range of criteria, and one of the most important aspects is that we want them to be a knowledgable local as opposed to a tour guide. Rest assured, all of our guides are fully qualified, however, our aim is for guests to finish their trip feeling like they’ve made a new friend rather than just having been shown around by a stranger. As a rule, all of our guides are employed by us, which means we’re not subcontracting staff; this means that all of our trips maintain a consistently high quality. Normally, when you get in touch with us about a certain trip, we’ll have someone respond to you that has either experienced the tour themselves or is the guide for that particular tour.

Freedom to Explore

All of our trips feature an action-packed itinerary which means that your days will be full of adventure and exploration; however, we also like to factor in some time for you to explore the area yourself. Normally this will be a free morning or afternoon in a city, giving you time to get to grips with a place yourself and have your own individual experience away from the rest of the group.

All Transport Included

Unless you’re planning on going on holiday and staying within the confines of a resort, you’ll want to get out and explore! Unfortunately, this isn’t always as straightforward as it should be. Whether you’re taking public transport, hiring a car or booking a tour, there can often be issues that put a downer on the trip. With our experiences, all transport is sorted for you, so you don’t have to worry about a thing!

Airport Transportation

This is a small thing but it can make a big difference. How often have you thought about booking a holiday and then had the worry of wondering how you’ll be getting to your accommodation and then back to the airport at the end of the holiday? Especially if you’re looking to stick to a budget, airport transportation can be a costly inconvenience! With our experiences, all transport to and from the airport is covered so you’ll have no need to worry. You’ll be met at the arrival airport and then dropped back at the end of the holiday.

What We Don’t Cover

It’s worth noting that, although we like to make your trip as easy and painless as possible, there are a few things that we don’t manage for you, which means you’ll need arrange them before you leave for your holiday. These things are especially if you’re planning a longer trip, such as one of our Ethiopia Tours. The main elements of the trip that we don’t cover are:–
– Visas
– Vaccinations
– Flights
– Travel Insurance

Just because we don’t cover these doesn’t mean we can’t help you get plans in place for your trip, though. Feel free to get in touch with us and we can help with suggesting suppliers for all of these things.
