The easiest option is to head to a cash machine once you’ve landed in Georgia to withdraw funds. However, if you want to get your currency in advance you can do so using online currency exchange companies. Alternatively, USD is widely accepted in Georgia.
Most places accept credit cards in the big cities but not so much in the remote areas so cash is often useful.
Tipping in Georgia is by no means compulsory, however, it is polite to tip in restaurants and cafés about 10%. If the service has been poor please don’t feel obligated to leave a tip.

Yes, tap water in the country of Georgia is generally considered safe to drink in most urban areas, including Tbilisi. However, in rural areas or when travelling, it may be advisable to drink bottled water or use water purification methods.
